We must remember that God has already asked on numerous occasions and Pharaoh has refused on each occasion. The children who died may well have been innocent, I want to point out that the children who died as a result of the 10th plague were not being punished by their deaths. Now we have already answered the question why didn’t God simply kill Pharaoh instead of sending the plagues and ultimately killing the firstborns and demonstrated this answer.
